Todays daily First World problem captains log Friday March 21, 2014. Last month a colleague of mine asked me to join his contact list on Linked In. Sure...I clicked on the link which led me to creating my own Linked In profile. Long story short...now Im getting tons of emails asking me to add all my friends to their Linked In blah blah blah. I also realized that there is too much info required to be input into a Linked In profile so I decided to delete the account. Like all things these days on the Internet, of course its extremely difficult to figure out how to delete a Linked In account. Instead of wasting more than 22 minutes on Linked In, I decided to go to You Tube. Search: How to delete a Linked In account. BAM! You Tube is awesome and it provided me with an easy instructional video. The problem is now...the video was old and the Linked In website is different now. Alas!!! I found the privacy setting on Linked in that is labeled under choices Close account Click= Heres how to close your account. First click on this and that and this and that which is on a different page....so now 30 minutes of my day goes by. I have 3 windows open on my laptop. One window that explains how to close the f*cking account. A second window under privacy settings where the actual deed is being done in 4 steps. A third window for You Tube explaining how to close Linked In the old school way. After all is said and done the lame account is closed. Sorry for the Spam friends on email. F*ck Linked In. Lame!!
