RECIPE TIME! Ive been busy in the kitchen the last few weeks writing, eating and tweaking lots of delicious healthy snack options for park dates, lunch boxes and cups of tea. So be sure to like this post so that Facebook shows you all of my recipes, because theres a lot coming! These bites I wrote for my friends at Norton Plaza and they have to be one of my very-very favourites. They have no nuts, eggs, gluten or nasties in them at all. They keep for weeks in the fridge and even freeze a dream. Honestly they taste like little chocolate truffles and theyve been such a hit with my husband, my 1.5 year old babe and I even made a batch for my 90 year old grandfather - he loved them too. Youll notice that Ive again used carob. The number 1 reason I have, is I have an allergy to cacoa. Yep, it was discovered at 2, so although Ive never had a Mars Bar Ive had many a Milky Bar and now use carob instead. I also think nutritionally carob is a great option, its caffeine free (great for kids) and its really high in iron. But, cacoa is also great, so I say choose what suits you and your family best. Enjoy and report back with photos! My little guy loves helping make these, he giggles as we pulse the blender and yells digga-digga Stace x
