Todays episode on Road Safety reminded of many memories including some from yesterdays cycle ride: 1. Getting scared being a pillion rider and friend rider overspeeding or showing off by accelerating really fast. Similar experience in some car rides. 2. My insistence on using a helmet even for very short rides on bike/scooty at home and someone from family making fun of me for that. And that one time, Ranjeet Rawat (sir ji) insisting on my wearing a helmet for pillion riding to Nehru Place. 3. As a kid, feeling responsible by sitting in the front seat in the car and tying that seat belt (although never caring for it when sitting in the rear seat (guess old car didnt even have those)). 4. While riding my cycle, my taking one way roads from the wrong side and jumping some traffic lights, which I dont intend to ever do again (those footage were from Bangalore and they were very real!). 5. Checking Maps navigation while riding the cycle thinking its fine as long as road is clear and I am on its left (better to avoid them). 6. Those overcrowded buses I see everyday, be it Bangalore, New Delhi or Ghaziabad. 7. That one time when Mukul Sharma stopped his bike to help out an injured person on the road and the awkwardness I felt even when I knew it was the right thing to do (Salute bhai!). Change #MumkinHai
