Todays exhortation - show us Your glory After nearly forty chapters of Job questioning God and calling Him out, the bible says, Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said: “Who is this who darkens counsel By words without knowledge? Now prepare yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer Me. “Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding. Who determined its measurements? Surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? Have you an arm like God? Or can you thunder with a voice like His? (Job 38:1-5) (Job 40:9). I would like to encourage you to read Job 38 to Job 42 to get a picture of the omnipotence and sovereignty of The Most High. His Name is Yahweh! Glory and honour and dominion belong to Him. He has no equal! Who can be likened to Him? Hes all by Himself God! Jobs responded, “I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear, But now my eye sees You. Therefore I abhor myself, And repent in dust and ashes.”(Job 42:5-6). After Job saw Him, his troubles meant nothing to him anymore. I believe this is the pinnacle of Christianity for when we get a true revelation of The Lord Jesus, we come to the end of ourselves and nothing else matters, but Him. We see His holiness, compassion, goodness and mercy. O what unspeakable joy. Moses prayed “Please, show me Your glory.” (Exodus 33:18).
