Todays featured performer is the one and only... SUMMER COLLINS (Dancer) was a competitive dancer in Chattanooga, TN for Ginger Brown’s Academy of Performing Arts prior to joining the Smoky Mountain Opry in 2013. She competed for thirteen years and won many national titles. Some of Summer’s professional work history includes: lead dancer at the Smoky Mountain Jubilee, lead clogger in Smoky Mountain Tunes and Tales, and dancer in Chattanooga Choo Choo Centennial Theatre. She was also a dance instructor for several years, teaching recreational and elite dancers different styles of dance. She attended the Alnwick International Music Festival in Alnwick, England and also represented the United States at the International Junior Arts Festival in Gangneung, South Korea. Summer has studied under many professional choreographers in NYC as well as participating in the Rockettes’ Intensive Program.
