Today’s topic on philosophy is “Revision on Social Ideology - TopicsExpress

Today’s topic on philosophy is “Revision on Social Ideology and Finally, Morality”. Previously, our topic was “Back to the Brain in a Vat, Conclusion”. What we did last time was to finalize our last and very first “Digression Series” (Most probably, there will be other “Digression Series” in the future.). In that lengthy and deep discussion of 7 posts, we were trying to say that philosophy is the same as other kinds of science. The point is not all about the Brain in a Vat thought experiment; it’s also about a kind of attitude. The sentence should be the other way around that all other kinds of science are the same as philosophy because all sciences come from philosophy. Philosophy is not a science, philosophy is bigger than science. A point which should be so obvious that it took 7 posts to be explained and I’d say it’s barely enough. But as always, it’s a journey, not something we can achieve overnight, so let’s move on and take a look at the definition of social ideology or should we say - definitions. To remind you, social ideology is a form of collective interest with the scale of the participants to be considered as a community (21/10/2014). Also, social ideology is the net formed by all the trends of forming collective interests, but the final formation requires the “pro” group and the “con” group of interactions to establish (20/10/2014). These two definitions may look confusing as one says social ideology is a collective interest and the other one says it’s a net of trends. Once again, logic explains for itself. As we said, the trend of forming collective interest is always overshadowed by the formation of collective interest and do you still remember we said “trend goes before formation” (20/10/2014) which is a fact of pragmatic philosophy? Actually, those two definitions should be combined together to precisely define the philosophical concept - social ideology. So, social ideology is the net formed by all trends of forming collective interests from community-scaled participants with the presence of “pro” and “con” group of interactions (The presence of those two groups of interactions ensures the trends turning into collective interests and thus causes the overshadowing of the trends, so we said social ideology is a collective interest in the first place. Problem solved.). Now, we are really getting philosophical, the true definitions in philosophy are just like that, lengthy but precise and even more complicated than that, it’s literally impossible to explain a philosophical concept in a simple sentence and make it precise at the same time. But we should stop here in order to not daunt you off. Then, let’s talk about morality. Morality is a part of social ideology which makes it the subset of Social Ideology (As why we use uppercase here, it’s the same as when we were discussing Belief, Faith, Religious Faith and other definitions, it’s an indication of a whole set.). In order to explain the concept of morality relatively precisely, we need to take a look back at the concept of interests and introduce another one called antagonism and that will be our next topic. We’ll see you then. So, stay with us and we’ll be back, be there or be square.
