Tom Blakely is no longer principal of Sentinel High School in Missoula, the Missoulian reported Friday. Blakely was suspended last week for undisclosed reasons. The district has been hiding behind the standard personnel matter to avoid telling the public whats really going on -- stating only that Blakely was being disciplined for unspecified violation(s) of the districts policy governing staff ethics and political activity. According to the Missoulian, Blakely hasnt been fired but is being reassigned to a position in the school district yet to be determined. The assistant principal who was suspended along with Blakely is also being reassigned. Prior to going to Sentinel three years ago, Blakely was principal at Three Forks High School for 9 years.
