Tomorrow I step into another chronological year of my life. I want to use this time out to say sorry to everybody I have wronged in one way or the other. I want to kiss every toe I have stepped on. I wish I could mend every heart I have caused to break. To every friend I have betrayed or angered, I say sorry. To my parents, my best is yet to come. To every soul that has hurt me, I render unreserved forgiveness. To those who stepped on my toes, I kiss your forehead. To shut-out friends, my arms are wide open. I want to thank all beings who made this year good for me; where would I find the words? To my parents, Sir$Lady C. I. C. Okafor... What do I have to say but thanks for the support and undeserved tolerance and patients... You are the best in the world. Ama make you the proudest. To the best brothers the world has ever known, Engnr Ifeanyi Okafor and Okafor Ifechukwu, how could there have been me without you? I couldnt fall because you gave me your shoulders. My beloved sisters, Ij, Ogo, Zoba, Som and Olu, the world is yet to see your worth of which I continue to harvest as I grow and go. You are the flowers God himself planted to beautify my life and you all have done wonderfully well. My heroes and heroines, Dera, Ama, Uche, Light, Gospel and Baby, you are my sight in the future; uncle vows to be there always and nurture you to great heights. As Lucky as I may be, I have the best of cousins you can think of; from Chuu, to Ugoo, Anie, Cheche, Zamoroka, Aj, Obinna, Oge, Ify, Zizi, Ziemuzo the argumentator, Oge the trouble maker, Nagorom, Duziem, the Nnajis and a host of others, but to mention a few... Thanks for your love and good wishes. You made me. My friends, greatest of which are, Ezy, Henry, Ifeanyi, Engnr Kachi, Okey, Obinna, Iphie, Okwukwe, Oly, Emem, Uche, Ekene... Youve been my champions. Through thick and thin, you stood strong, holding and pulling me even when I was reluctant to follow. Ezy, special salutes to you and Henry. To every other person who has been there at one time or the other, I cant leave you out, I say thank you for identifying with little me and helping in molding and forming me. I ask you all to remember me tonight in your prayers asking God to announce His presence in my life this new coming chronological year of my existence. Remember me with these few words before you go to bed: God bless the work of his hands. May God bless us all as we rest in His arms today and always. Amen.
