Tomorrow, Thursday, July 17, 2014, we will honor our friend, Pat Jones. It is her birthday, so we shall celebrate her life. So will the city of New York and the Congress of the United States of America, along with all those in absentee, who treasured her life. At 11 am, the city of New York will host a street re-naming ceremony, held at 144th and Convent Avenues. After 12 noon: hence forth and forever - just a few doors from the street corner where many jammin’ “Bid Whist” card parties were hosted by Pat and some of the happiest Thanksgiving feasts - ever - were celebrated; that street, will be named, PAT JONES WAY. In November 2012, Pat suddenly passed away from this world. And there is a hole in our hearts that she holds forever. Congressman Rangel of Harlem issued a citation to Congress that Pat be remembered for her contributions to the city of New York - eternally. You are invited to join Pats mom, her family and circle of friends, tomorrow at 11am, at 144th & Convent, for the dedication of a new street in Harlem, in honor of our dear friend, which will be known as: PAT JONES WAY.
