Tomorrow afternoon at 2 PM, many of us on Facebook, will be attending the funeral of Steve Williamson to pay our respects to a man, who not only influenced our day-to-day lives, but made a real difference to the people of Leeds, by championing the causes of social justice and providing the tools for many organisations to provide creative services, affordable housing opportunities and most importantly creating employment for those who had suffered the rigours of long-term unemployment. I like many and especially my dear friend, Huw Jones, will find this day very difficult and certainly very emotional as we say farewell to a friend and a thoroughly decent human being, even if he did support Liverpool!. With Bob Crow and Tony Benn, Steve will join them to create an effective socialist spirit world where the minimum wage, will be paid by good deeds in the afterlife. Goodbye Sir, you were a special man.
