Tomorrow morning at 8:15 AM the Planning Board is hearing about this glass box. Its justification by the architects is that additional to the building (inside this box) are needed because the 3 staircases just inside the building, and two elevators are not enough. Of course no one will use these new modern stairs and the additional stairs (total of over 50) to get to the hotel lobby because people with suitcases will take the elevator. Unfortunately the non-preservationists on the Preservation Board approved this.
