Tomorrow would have been our 32nd wedding anniversary. We had a few traditions that I really miss. Occasionally we got away and we tried to have dinner out but once we even ate at Burger King. Rather than mark the day with expensive gifts, we usually marked the day with words of affirmation, appreciation, love, and thankfulness for one another. Please dont think we were always perfect but we did work really hard to make a fun, loving, and all around healthy marriage together and genuinely liked and deeply loved one another. I put much of this down to Johns gentle patience, love and care for me. It made a girl just want to reciprocate and try harder. In honor of John Zambeninis character and commitment to me, I would again like to encourage you men to seek out what makes your wife feel loved, cherished, and secure. Talk to her. And wives...encourage and appreciate your husbands. He wont know what he is doing right if you dont appreciate him. Men and women, if you die in your sleep tonight, how will your spouse pay the rent or mortgage? How will they feed and clothe the children you made together? Make the time and the way and prepare because it will more than likely hit the fan at some point in your lives. Darlin, Im probably missing you more than youre missing me, but happy anniversary. Love you.
