Tonight 3 years ago..........was the last time I would ever say goodbye to my Dad. I wish everyday that I could talk to him and my Mom. My sister, brother and I had a few minutes each alone with Dad that night. Didnt know until later that we all told him the same thing......Dont worry Dad....we will take care of Mom. Dont feel like you have to hang on for her. By this time he had had a heart attack, stroke, and several TIAs after going to the nursing home. He didnt know anything (at least as far as we could see) But we believe that deep down he was worried about Mom. That is why we all told him what we did that night. I think he heard us because the next morning at 1:00 AM we got the call that Dad had gone home to heaven. As hard as it was, we all knew he was so much better off. We didnt think Mom would last very much longer because see missed him so much and her health was bad. They had been married 68 1/2 years. We didnt know it would only be 4 days before Mom would say goodbye to this world and meet Jesus and see Dad once again. All I can really say is.......if you still have your parents....please talk to them as much as you can and always say I love you. You never know when it might be the last time.
