Tonight I gave a deputation about the Pros and Cons of online voting, hoping that Council would be intrigued to research all aspects of the issue, and defer back to the City Clerks office and Administration, for a full report :) Andy Wolff also gave a deputation on the effects, concerns and statistics of online voting, in comparison to electronic vote tabulators and hand-count ballots...also with the hopes of making Council explore the issue more :) Samantha Mihalus and Peter from Shift gave great deputations on the Pros of online voting :) All in all...Council has deferred it as Andy and I hoped!! :) This will mean that not only Council, Administration and the City Clerks office will look at all aspects of the issue, but also this gives the Citizens of Thunder Bay the opportunity to become informed as well :) Great job done by all debutants :)
