Tonight I have introduced myself to the music of Grimes Aka. Claire Boucher. I was always initially put off by the online magazine images of her weird haircuts and fashion disaster taste in clothing. But having been suckered in by the Dune inspired song titles on her first album Geidi Primes, i curiously gave her a spin. Not bad.. Now listening to her third album Visions, she sounds like a chill-step-middle eastern chanteuse..Like nothing i have ever heard. Catchy, exotic, eccentric. The video is downright weird. Not sure i like the visual imagery but the song is great. Never judge a book by its cover, she actually sounds groundbreaking.. just like the hype said before i did.
