Tonight I tried to make gluten free biscuits. I wanted to cut the recipe in half but forgot to 1/2 the milk. After 45 minutes of cooking, they were still soggy. Oh dear. I decided to try again but with a new recipe. The first batch called for baking powder, the second batch called for baking soda. Guess what? I added baking powder instead of baking soda to the second batch. Oh dear, oh dear! These biscuits too failed to rise. I kept looking in the oven wondering what was wrong. I will not give up! Enough for tonight; I will try again over the weekend.
