Tonight, I went with my mom to watch the most wonderfully talented country music band that nobodys ever heard of play in the basement of a barbecue restaurant. I spent the first 30 minutes of the concert trying not to cry as everyone around me chatted and stuffed pig parts into their mouths. Sure, as a comedian, Ive played many the sushi restaurant, laundromat and hair salon and its never bothered me, made me feel like less of a person or made me question pursuing comedy, but for some reason watching other people do it made me feel so sad.
