Tonight I worry about our nation. We have a president who has gone rogue, and is acting more like a dictator than a president, seeking to impose his will by any means necessary. We have a congress and senate that is constantly fractured because they make political parties the dividing lines between them. We have a government that doesnt give a rats ass what the people want. The only time they care what we think, is voting time; then after they are elected, they do as they please. I cant help but believe that all this is not what my ancestor fought for in the revolutionary war. Today I do wonder what he would think of our nation today. And even though I can easily send email messages to my senators, congressmen, and president, I rarely bother; because I dont think they really care what I think, and because I dont think it would make any difference if I did tell them my thoughts and views. So I invest my time and energies into those areas where I can make a difference, and simply hope for the best. Dont know what else to do. Which is frustrating for me as a writer, who communicates best with words, having the leaders of my nation care nothing for my words or my thoughts. Which is why I spend most of my time sharing my thoughts and words here on facebook. I know you do care, for you show it by your likes.
