Tonight January 10, 2015 on Me TV: Adventures of Superman (1) Lady in Black First Aired February 20, 1954 - Jimmy Olsen, staying temporarily at an apartment, is spooked. Hes hearing mysterious noises, a painting on his wall seems to have changed and he encounters a man with a scar and a lady in black, including a black veil over her face. Superman investigates but finds nothing wrong. But strange things continue to happen to Jimmy when hes alone. Desperate, he calls Clark Kent at the office. Clark, using his super hearing, realizes Jimmy is in genuine danger. Trivia: You may remember John Doucette who plays Scarface in this episode as Slugger in The Birthday Letter. Adventures of Superman (2) Star of Fate First Aired February 27, 1954 - A mysterious box from Egypt causes a bidding war between two men, Whitlock and Barnak. The box also is said to carry a curse and three people, including Lois Lane, are stricken opening it. Superman, in order to solve the mystery and save three lives, will fly to Egypt in search of a plant that is the basis of the antidote. He must race back to Metropolis, or else Jimmy Olsen will become a victim of the ruthless Barnak. Trivia: Mr. Whitlock (Paul Burns) played Lu Sung in Riddle of the Chinese Jade. Batman (1) Instant Freeze First Aired February 2, 1966 - Mr. Freeze seeks revenge against Batman for knocking a beaker of Instant Freeze on him during a past fight, an accident that has rendered Freeze incapable of going out in public without a special air-conditioned suit and forces him to keep his body temperature at a frosty 50 degrees below zero. Freeze begins his rampage of revenge by heisting some famous diamonds (ice in the criminal vernacular!) from The Gotham City Diamond Exchange. In the Batcave, Batman perfects an anti-freeze pill which, as he tries it out in a Deep-Freeze Cabinet, sadly, fails to do the trick in extreme cold. Then, on a tip from Commissioner Gordon, the Dynamic Duo, knowing Freezes predilection for ice, speed to the exchange by Batmobile, but their attempt to nab Freeze is foiled when gang members Chill, Nippy and Mo release five Batman and Freeze decoys. Trivia: The Giant Lighted Lucite Map of Gotham City is a reverse image of St. Louis, right down to Forest Park, Fairground Park, Tower Grove Park, Lafayette Park, and Horseshoe Lake on the Illinois side, as well as the other river and road networks. Batman (2) Rats Like Cheese First Aired February 3, 1966 - A very frigid Batman and Robin are rushed to Gotham City Hospital where they are thawed out with the help of the miraculous Super-Hypotherm-De-Icifier Chamber Mark VII, which reverses the freezing process. Freeze, meanwhile, has captured Paul Diamante (Spanish for diamond), the star pitcher of the Gotham City Eagles baseball team, just before the big game. Immediately upon learning of the Caped Crusaders surviving his freeze gun, Freeze offers to exchange Diamante for Batman. The hostage exchange happens via helicopter at the ballpark, where Batman is knocked unconscious and spirited away by helicopter. Trivia: Though Mister Freeze has a henchman named Chill, this character is not meant to be Joe Chill, the murderer of Bruce Waynes parents. Wonder Woman Phantom of the Roller Coaster: Part 1 First Aired September 4, 1979 - The leader of a spy ring must deal with a phantom-like man and Wonder Woman before he can locate his headquarters in an old amusement park. Trivia: Fred Lerner who plays Kirk in this episode went on to work as the stunt coordinator for the 1990 TV series The Flash. Check local listings for time.
