Tonight @ The Canyon Club James Durbin James Durbin is known for giving metal a chance on Season 10 of “American Idol” and pushing to keep rock alive on his 2011 debut, Memories Of A Beautiful Disaster. But, this Santa Cruz, California-born and bred vocal powerhouse was raised on oldies and boys bands, and his repertoire as since expanded to include new styles of music. Durbins first album was built on, he says, “frustration, anxiety and excitement,” while his new endeavor is, “more about a celebration of life and music.” In other words, you can expect the best of both worlds when he performs live on the Canyon stage.
