Tonight. the St Louis County Council will be voting on the merger of St Louis City and County Economic Development Councils. If I read this right, instead of eliminating a duplication of the EC councils, they are adding a new layer of bureaucracy. How can this possibly produce any savings? Do I hear a giant sucking sound of money going down the drain?
