Tonight was my thank you barbecue for some of the amazing people who worked so hard in our South Auckland/Tamaki Makaurau Green Party campaign.I love this photo of these young wahine laughing - what an amazing night we had together again. It was a huge honour tonight to be able to fill my house with some of our Green Party supporters. And I know I sent some love out on election night to you all. But I want to take this opportunity to do it again. Everyone who gave me your aroha and tautoko before/during and after my campaign. Your koha, your time, your consistent messages of love, your guidance, your everything. I think about you all every day with heartfelt appreciation and admiration for the way you keep fueling me to keep going. And as I said tonight to my guests, my beautiful, loving, staunch, dignified family who are the only reason I can do what I do. The only reason. The whole of tonight was in honour of everyone who has ever helped me to be a voice. It has made me feel warm and loved and energised. We have got work to keep doing and I look forward to the rest of our journey together. I love you all deeply. xxx
