Tonight was the 5th Annual Point Hope Teenista and I am so very grateful to the volunteers, the people in our community who donated gifts, and to the girls who allowed us to be a part of their lives. I was asking the girls if they were having a good time and one of them told me that she was sure she was going to hate being there. She then told me that she was really glad she was here and that she was having the best time! Hearing and seeing that moment is my favorite part every year!
