Tonight we attended a funeral. Our friend will bury her only son tomorrow. He was a great young man who served as a Marine. After serving 2 tours in Iraq and seeing horrific things, he came home with severe PTSD and was ignored by our government. He did not receive needed treatment and ended up basically homeless in CA. With extreme heat, he died from dehydration and heat exhaustion. It is a terrible shame how America treats its veterans. I think next time the military sets up a recruiting Carroll University, Ill set up one right next to it with statistics and information about what happens when you get back home.
