Took the train from Falkirk High to Glasgow this morning. There - TopicsExpress

Took the train from Falkirk High to Glasgow this morning. There was none in the Falkirk high station to issue tickets. Waited for the conductor in the train to get the tickets but he didn’t turn up. Approached the assistant in Glasgow station near the barrier and as he was busy talking with someone he let me through the barrier without asking for tickets. Tempted to leave the station as the train was delayed and I was already late to work. But decided to go to the ticket booth and bought the tickets for the journey I just finished. No one gave me a pat in the back. But as I walked out of the station I realized I didn’t finish this year in a wrong note although I was given an opportunity. Nothing could beat the sense of satisfaction and peace you get when you remain faithful even if it means you need to sacrifice something precious. You don’t need a pat in the back for everything you do. The gauge for a successful year is not your bank balance or what you bought or achieved this year. But the true gauge is whether you remained faithful to your calling or not. You are not called to be successful but to be faithful! In that sense, looking back at what I have done this year, this was and will always be one of the best year of my life.
