Top 10 reasons due to which our educational system is worse Political Trends (#10) After the emergence there is no political stability in the Pakistan. Every government of Pakistan is not interested to educate the new generation. In our country people elect a person for MPA or MNA who can support them for their illegal activities, who made aroad for them etc but they never think what are the real problems. Due to which politicians when came in power they do onlythat activities which make them popular. Neither our masses nor ruler think about the bettermentof educational system of country.Now the trend is changed a little bit and many elected representatives are talking aboutthe need of education that wouldbe changed the circumstances. Feudal System against education (#09) There is feudal system in Pakistan which is fully against theeducation. Feudal always oppose the education in Pakistan. You can see that in Balochistan and most areas of Sindh there is verylow literacy rate because there isfeudalism in that areas. These feudal think that if there workers/ servants got education they would not work for them due to their humiliated behavior. Students Encouragement (#08) Students need reward and encouragement to do brilliant achievements in life. Our educational system is not encouraging students. Student-teacher relationship is very bad in Pakistan and due to which most of the students hesitate tocommunicate freely with teacher. Lack of communication between teachers and students also a big problem which makes our educational system worst. Many teachers are also not sincere with their profession and due to their insincerity educational system can be in good form. Lack of research culture (#07) In our educational system there is lack of research culture. Our students just go behind getting marks in the exams and they don’t bother to get new knowledge. In Pakistan teachers as well as students don’t think about research. Students just read books and notes to attempttheir papers. Contrary to Pakistan if we observe the educational system of developed countries that is based on research. Teachers and lecturers motivate students to research on different topics which gives them very effective knowledge. Due to lack of research culture inPakistan our educational system is facing many problems. English language as communicationbarrier (#06) Experts believe that it is very easy to understand knowledge inmother tongue rather than any secondary language. In Pakistan there is very much tragedy with students that in home they haveto speak Punjab, in class rooms they have to speak Urdu and they have to attempt papers in English. Students usually very confused about the language they have not fully command over English language. This language barrier is a very big problem of our educational system. We don’t have the translated versions of English books by which our students can get help. Lack of practical knowledge (#05) In our colleges and universities students got only theoretical knowledge but when they go in the market there they need theoretical as well as practical knowledge of that particular field.Students face many problems after getting their degree to geta job. Now job market is very much demanding and there requirement is only skilled, professional and experienced persons. So due to the lack of practical knowledge students have to face many problems in the start of their professional career. Students should get someexperience during their studies to cope this problem. Lack of Career Counseling (#04) Career counseling is very important for the mental and career development of students. Students didn’t know what to doafter matriculation and there areusually few options they have. Most of the students don’t knowthe different areas of study rather than Engineering and Medical due to lack of the counseling. They got admission in these sequences and didn’t have enough marks because it was nottheir interest area. So they can’tget admission in medical or engineering colleges. At that timethey are very upset and thinkingof their career. Counselors who explore the students’ ability and guide them in right direction are very useful for the education system. Oldest syllabus (#03) The world is changing very quickly and science & technology is developing day by day. Our syllabus is very old and many years our policy makers don’t bother to change it. Due to whichthere are lots of theories and concepts which we taught our students are changed and science has proved new facts instead of that old ones. But our students believed on the old facts and theories. There is also a discussion about our syllabus but never have theydecided syllabuses which boost the creativity of students and give them the knowledge which isaccording to the norms and values of our society. If syllabus isagainst our norms and values of our society then ultimately students would be against these norms and values. Cramming system (#02) In our society students’ purpose of studying in schools and colleges is just to give high marksand get a renowned degree by which they got a good and highlypaid job in Pakistan or abroad. But knowledge is not a thing which is the purpose and aim of students. Due to this students don’t digest the knowledge from books they just cram it and remember till the exams. Cramming is one of the biggest reasons which made our educational system worst. Low budget allocation for education (#01) Our government is allocating only 2% of total budget on education which is not enough for developing education in the country. Higher Education Commission (HEC) facing many financial problems due to the very minimum allocation for education. Education is never a top priority of our government and they hesitate to spend money on it. Due to lack of funds our education system faces manyproblems and which become a great reason of worsening situation. In public educational institutes there lack of teaching staff, practical equipment and other many facilities are not available in public educational institutes which are very important for the education. Students compel to get admissionin private institutions which are not in the access of every student.
