Topic:- Look and live Then the Lord said to Moses, “Make a fiery serpent, and set it on a pole; and it shall be that everyone who is bitten, when he looks at it, shall live. Nub21:8. Todays focal scripture is centred on an incident of complaints of the children of Israel against God and Moses because they said there was no food or water for them in the wilderness,which made God to sent a fiery serpent among them in their camp which killed some of them. Then the children of Israel cried unto Moses to call upon God for them that He may take away the fiery serpent out of their midst. And God told Moses to make a fiery serpent and put it on a pole and when they are bitten by that living serpent,if they can look upon the one on the pole they will live. To some it sounds so foolish,how can mere looking at iron serpent safe them?and by that missed Gods purpose. God wanted them to know that faith in His can give them all things. We have to know that this serpent was a shadow of Christ,that just as the serpent was lifted up in the wilderness that some looked at it and were saved,so also is Christ lifted up for mankind,that whoever look at Him with faith from his/her heart shall be saved. Shift your eyes away from pains,afflictions,agonies,harassment or humiliation of Satan around you and set your eyes on Him and He will save you. Ps34:5 says,the look at Him and the were radiant and their faces were not ashamed,looking at Jesus will take care of every disgrace in your life. What change the story of man at the beautiful gate was just a looking at Peter and John on their way to the temple. Acts14:9 recorded something similar about a man who has never walked before,but by looking at apostle Paul got his healing. Look on Him that was pierced for you and you shall be saved. Only look and live. I pray your spiritual eyes will open to see the Lord IJN,I love U.
