Tough time for Junior Oshawa Legionaires Etobicoke Rangers laid another beating on the Oshawa Legionaires! This time 19 – 5 at Connorvale Park in Etobicoke. The Rangers have scored 73 runs in their last 3 games while allowing only 8 runs to their opponents....Oshawa twice and North York once. The short-handed Legionaires (12 olayers present versus the usual 25 for Rangers. Once again the Legionaires’ pitching staff was not ready in each of the first two innings giving up 7 walks plus 3 hit batters (plus 2 long home runs ) producing 8 runs. The Rangers added 5 more in the 3rd. Off 2 more walks and two additional hit-batters.Oshawa did not give up but rallied for 5 runs off 6 hits in the 5th inning.Chris Wotten had 3 hits, 1 rbi while Aaron Hamilton and Eric Morrow each chipped in with 2 hits Morrow’s producing 2 rbi’s. After 2 consecutive games of hitting for the cycle, the Rangers Anthony Rattigan only manged 1 hit a hard hit single up the middle. He also had 2 walks and was hit by a pitch twice. Oshawa used 4 pitchers who combined for another unbelievable pitch count; this time 93 balls and 115 strikes in “mercy shortened” 7 inning game. Oshawa does not play again until next Monday at Kinsmen Stadium (7:30 pm) against the North York Blues
