Trades Council Officers have agreed to support a wide range of campaigns to campaign in Victoria Square on Saturday 8th June following the recent EDL march in the city centre. We are calling on all our delegates and affiliates to join with us to make sure the EDL and the fascists realise they cannot be allowed to dominate our streets. We need lots of campaigners to make this a safe and successful event and so we appeal to you to join us. Trade union stalls are more than welcome. It is essential in our view that Trade Unionists take a stand now against those who want to promote hatred and division. If you can pledge to help then please let me know so we can have an idea of numbers involved. WHAT HAVE THEY DONE FOR US, WHY SHOULD WE GET INVOLVED, LABOUR IS GOOD AT TAKING FROM US, WHY SHOULD WE DO THERE DIRTY WORK, YOU CREATED THE CRAP LABOUR, YOU SORT IT OUT.
