Tragedy..Trauma..we all know that feeling..my body numbs out, nausea comes, I seem to feel frozen in time with the world flying by around me..overwhelmed..during this time..there is a temptation to feel all my traumatic experiences at the same time, emotions flying..and loneliness.. I stop..I refocus...I am not alone...that is a trick of the mind.. I can get out of this negative thinking there is a light at the end of the tunnel..its small...but I know its there Ive taken it before..I do not have to be overtaken by my dark thoughts telling me I will die, I have no purpose, I am alone, no one wants me..I do not have to deal with everything at once..I am not made that way..I am currently safe..I can breathe right now, in the midst of it all there are people out there who need me, I can use these challenges to show you that recovery, choosing life, not just life but a life full of purpose and dreams IS POSSIBLE. YOU MATTER...PEOPLE need YOU and your experiences..these traumatic events didnt happen for no reason..yes they hurt they tear they dig they burn you cringe you cry you scream you are angry..but thats ok...you feel! YOUR ALIVE YOU HAVE EMOTION...You can take it one moment at a time and you will survive..you want this desperately, one part of you may yell to die slowly but a bigger part screams to live, sometimes not till right before death but YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE you were meant to live meant for something bigger than this bigger than you can imagine.. You WANT RECOVERY...your just scared..angry, raged..but thats ok..that shows life..fight...A SURVIVOR... remember no matter who is in your life or lack there of you are NEVER ALONE...do not be fooled into thinking so..I know sometimes maybe even alot of times the world seems so dark and cold..but remember the dark cannot exist without light..its there..DO NOT give up! Also, I am saying this to myself as much as you...to keep hope :)
