A pumpkin seed doesn’t look like a pumpkin. You might say ‘I’ve got some pumpkins here’. Are you crazy? That thing looks like a flat football... it looks like you’ve let the air out of a miniature rugby ball. It doesn’t look anything like a pumpkin, but if you plant it, just wait and see. Get some earth and some manure, and put that thing right there in that mess. 70God’s got this little seed that doesn’t look anything like the fruit it’s going to produce. It’s just a bare seed, then he puts it in a pile of dung, sheep manure and fish bones. You might experience all kinds of dark things, but thank God it’s a part of the process. Can you embrace your past? You can’t say ‘I don’t want anything to do with my past’. You’ve got no choice... you’ve had it and it’s a part of you. Some say ‘No... it doesn’t even exist, it’s in the sea of forgetfulness’. You know, many times we use that to alleviate our pain... ‘Thank God it’s in the sea of forgetfulness. Now I feel better’. Nothing’s changed... you were still once a thief and a robber, a liar and a cheat. ‘Oh, no but God said it’s over’. 71You need to look at it from another angle, God put you there... He put you right there. He stomped on you and put a whole lot of earth and manure on top of you. I don’t mean to be sacrilegious, but actually it’s God’s fault. Do you think it’s a fault at all? You say ‘Oh, I’ve got all these faults’. Hold on... cow dung, sheep dung and fish intestines. You’ve been buried and stomped on. That doesn’t look anything like God... long hair, hippy smoking marijuana and doing all that stuff. That’s God stomping it. He was in it and He was doing it.
