Traveling from Nepal to Bhutan is like crossing the border from India to Switzerland: suddenly there’s serenity, you encounter (relative) cleanliness, men and women walking around dressed in their traditional garb (see below), and the views, oy the views! Going up the trail to Taktsang Monastery (aka the Tiger’s Nest), your brain wants to shut itself off (lack of oxygen, etc.), but the views are definitely worth it. And yes, it’s me there, frantically trying to row in that rafting boat.
