Travelling, ..something Ive been thinking about lately. ..has modern technology taken away the adventure or has it made life easier? It seems alot of people these days use the Internet to pre book hotels&sometimes plan the whole trip in advance online.I get quite a few people inbox me regarding Thailand, asking where to go, training camps etc and Im more than happy to help.Some people dont want Samui or Phuket, the mainstream...Back when I was travelling for a few months at a time this is how we got our information, from fellow travellers or just by finding out ourselves! I remember getting off a train in Calcutta heading off to Suder St to hunt down somewhere to stay at 1 in the morning and landing in Vietnam heading to district 1 without a clue about anything else!..In the late 90s&a few years after it was just a lonely planet book and advice from others..Whilst in Ibiza last week I was speaking to one of the hotel staff at poolside and he was saying before they had wifi peopke would sit and chat, read a book then it all changed and people almost sit in silence!!....is technology spoiling the fun/taking the adventure away???...your thoughts
