Tropical Cyclone Update PAGASA Track as of 8 a.m., 26 November 2014 Satellite Image SEVERE WEATHER BULLETIN NUMBER TWO TROPICAL CYCLONE WARNING:TROPICAL DEPRESSION QUEENIE Issued at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday 26 November 2014 Tropical Depression QUEENIE has maintained its strength as it continues to move closer toward the Eastern section of Mindanao. Location of Center: (as of 10:00 a.m.) 210 km East of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur Coordinates: 8.6°N, 128.2°E Strength: Maximum winds of 45 kph near the center Movement: Forecast to move West at 24 kph. Forecast Positions/Outlook: Wednesday afternoon: expected to make landfall over Surigao del Sur Wednesday evening traverse the Northern Mindanao area Thursday morning: 35 km North of Dipolog City Friday morning: 105 km West of Puerto Princesa Friday evening: expected to be outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) Saturday morning: 710 km West of Puerto Princesa or over the West Philippine Sea PSWS Luzon Visayas Mindanao #1 (Winds of 30-60 kph is expected in at least 36 hours) None Southern Leyte Bohol Southern Cebu Negros Oriental Southern Negros Occidental Siquijor Surigao del Norte Siargao Island Surigao del Sur Agusan del Norte Agusan del Sur Davao del Norte Davao Oriental Compostella Valley Dinagat Province Camiguin Misamis Oriental Misamis Occidental Bukidnon Zamboanga del Norte Estimated rainfall amount is from 7 – 15 mm per hour (moderate - heavy) within the 300 km diameter of the Tropical Depression. Residents in low lying and mountainous areas of the provinces with PSWS#1 as well as the rest of Mindanao are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides. Fisherfolks and those with small seacrafts are advised not to venture out over the eastern seaboard of Visayas and Mindanao.
