Tropical Storm Fay continues to move away from Bermuda. Its centered about 165 miles northeast of Bermuda as of 11 a.m. EDT/AST. The government of Bermuda has discontinued the hurricane watch and tropical storm warning for that island nation. Fays maximum sustained winds are 70 mph. Some fluctuations in intensity are likely today, but a gradual weakening should begin tonight. Fay is expected to become a post-tropical cyclone on Monday. Wind gusts to tropical storm force will gradually subside during the next few hours over Bermuda, and rains will diminish as well.
