True story: I Joseph Muia was told that I have a disease called paraneoplastic. It was told to me in July 2010. Paraneoplastic is when there is a tumor in your body that is small and cant be seen by Pet scan, MRI, and X-rays. The good cells knows there is a tumor in your body and tries to fight it, but mistakens your muscle cells for the tumor. Which means it eats your body alive. The pain is a 10 on the pain scale. You are given 3-5 years to live and told you be bedridden, walker bound, or in wheel chair. The old saying here today...gone tomorrow was not true. It was here today and maybe gone today. It has been almost 4 years since it started. I am healthy, working a full time job. As well a husband and father. I can walk....and talk. I can run and drive. Doctor said at John Hopkins that God himself touched me. I agree but I also wanted to say this to you. Each one of us has to carry a cross on earth. It happens to us all. When you hear bad news like cancer or any other disease. You stand up and fight saying not me. I took paraneoplastic as the devil was trying to kill me. I woke up each day saying you cant stop me from living. I went to work....took care of my family...and laughed at the disease saying what is wrong you cant handle a duo of me and God? In the end God is with you and your heart knows it and you are never scared to fight to live. I DID WIN. Doctors have said I am less than 1% in the Nation. Something told me to write that on here, on my own wall. So I guess it was to show somebody to fight and not to think the war is over when they never tried to win. God Bless, Muia
