True story: I came in on the middle of The Shawshank Redemption close to a dozen times, and the earliest I ever came in was when Tim Robbins character arrived at the prison. Never saw it from the start. One time at college I turned on the tv and the beginning credits of a movie were rolling over a courtroom scene, and then I saw Tim Robbins and I said to myself, Hey, its that guy from The Shawshank Redemption! Imagine my surprise when it segued into a scene Id seen multiple times and I realized that I was seeing that guy from The Shawshank Redemption appearing in The Shawshank Redemption. Hey, Id never seen it from the start. I had no idea the movie had a courtroom scene.
