Truly hysterical moment occurred yesterday at Starbucks: I found myself seated on the other side of a booth where a Cuban man with an iPad was seated. We shared a a pleasant smile and then I put my headphones on and proceeded to work. To my surprise, he used his iPad to Skype with a friend. Speaking in Spanish, his voice became crazy loud, even for Starbucks standards. I could even hear him over my music. After 30 minutes, folks were looking at him and I couldnt take it anymore. I smacked the booth and said, Che! Che! twice to get his attention and to his shock I told him in Spanish that he was being obscenely loud. His jaw dropped on the floor and he freaked because I had overheard and understood everything. He grabbed his iPad and ran off. A man seated next to me was dying laughing. He said, Thats the best laugh Ive had in a long time! I can assure you that he had absolutely no idea that you spoke Spanish!
