Trust Your Feelings To Jesus: A relationship with God is not based on feelings. Rather it is based on faith and a real honest commitment to surrender our hearts and lives to our Lord and Savior. If we based our spiritual thermometer on how we felt each day, it would be pretty discouraging. Feelings change like the wind. They come and go - run hot and cold! God created us with the ability to experience the whole range of emotions, but it doesnt define how much we love Him! There are times when praying that we can feel the warmth of Gods presence, and other times when we might not. However, it doesnt mean that we are doing something wrong, or we’re not praying in the right way or that God isnt listening to our prayers. It’s not feelings that will draw us closer to Jesus -rather our faith and knowledge in our hearts of His unending love for us! We need to pray fervently, from our heart, not our head! Trust God to answer our prayers according to His will for what is best for us, and not because of our own ability to live a godly life or pray eloquent prayers!
