Trustees Announce Hiring of Architectural Firm to Design New Fire Station. On October 23, 2013 the Concord Township Trustees interviewed four architectural firms and unanimously voted to hire Mull and Weithman Architects to design the new Concord Township Fire Station. The new fire station will be built at the corner of Dublin and Home Road to replace the current 40+ year old fire station currently located on Dublin Rd. The current fire station was damaged in a wind storm and after much discussion between the trustees, fire personnel and residents it was determined the insurance proceeds should be used to help construct a new fire station. A new fire station will serve Concord fire personnel and residents for the next 40+ years. An initial insurance offer of $160,000.00 was rejected by the trustees. On October 28th, 2013 Concord Township Trustees unanimously voted to accept an insurance claim of $501,792.86. The new fire station is anticipated to break ground in the spring 2014. No increased tax payer funding will be necessary as all construction costs will be funded using current township reserves and insurance claims. concordtwp.org
