Truth and Consequences “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; - TopicsExpress

Truth and Consequences “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.” (Galatians 6:7) Satan loves to deceive us into accepting as true that which is not true. “You won’t die,” he told Eve, “Just enjoy the fruit!” She swallowed the deception... and the rest is history. God will not be mocked. One of the biggest deceptions Satan has promised is the idea that there are no consequences for our actions. American has bought into this one “big time.” Folks have been so brainwashed that no one wants to accept responsibility for his own actions. The headlines of today substantiate this. In modern America, a woman can win a multi-million dollar lawsuit against a food-chain because she spilled hot coffee on herself. It is a pervasive attitude. We are convinced that it is never our fault. Christians should know the truth... we will reap what we sow. However, we live in an age of deception and some brothers have accepted certain lies. A few believe that they only need to study and worship on Sunday morning in order to become spiritu¬ally strong. Some families think they can allow hunting, golfing, school activities, and traveling to take priority over the assembly and still raise up children who will faithfully serve the Lord. We now have a generation that is reaping the consequences of sowing to these deceptions. If this describes you, then wake up before it is too late... face up to the truth before you reap the consequences. Guy Orbison, Jr. Durango, CO
