Truthout.org is the only large progressive publication to mention sail transport and do so in the context of the big picture of energy, climate, and localizing economics. So I paid attention to my Truthout editors special appeal today. To counter the corporate media, Leslie Thatcher observed, toward covering the publications operational expenses, There are problems with our system. We can all understand those problems once we have the facts. We have the power together to change things large and small that need to be changed. This is more than a message to give politicians a piece of your mind, or another attempt to sift through minutia to perhaps reform a hopeless policy. Rather, this is vision for fundamental change. Please join me in helping the expanding Truthout audience. Ive furnished an article for their website now and again. You can send Truthout some money or spread the word or send the editors a Speakout column. Why would I suggest this when CultureChange.org and Sail Transport Network need funds and involvement perhaps more urgently?
