Tuesday 13th August, 6 wks today we have been fighting this blinking illness, we are going to beat this i am 100% with that, but gosh its blooming awful, an emotional roller coaster, seeing your gracious, powerful, loveable pride and joy, turned into a shadow of there formerselves, if i could wave a magic wand!!!! Anyhow Candy has had another battery charging day, priorities were eating and sleeping, fill belly and sleep, fill belly and sleep ect, she did come to about teatime and she went out and grazed in the evening sun with her best mate, and she then took me for a stroll and a good old clover hunt she even had me trotting :0 one thing she does enjoy doing is having a right good rub and scratch on the big round bales, the farmer has left 2 bales in the field and Candy loves scratching her head and shoulders on them, she did attempt a shake this evening but again her legs went from under her, i scratch her all over with my fingers and nails which i think helps a bit, but she still doesnt want me grooming her. I did notice this morning she was very jumpy, just the slightest sound or noise out and about and she was jumping and very alert almost on a heightened state of alert, nothing had happened to make her be worried (that i know of anyhow) plenty of strokes and reassurance, she had chilled out by lunchtime. The tremors have been quiet bad again today, when she was stood eating clover this evening i noticed the tremors were going right down her legs, they havent done that for a whiley. but still no sweating but again she is warm to touch, when she has been stood sleeping she has been in the typical elephant stance again, i havent seen her do that for a couple of days, she is so tired though. Her poohs havent been as good as yesterday or as many considering the amount she is eating, she has had 1 formed 1, 1 semi formed and then porjectile. Her pee`s are fine, mind you she is taking a fair bit of fluid on board at the moment. Her food intake has been; 15 scoops of Readigrass ( at least) 6 scoops of soaked Pony Nuts and Sugarbeet 5 scoops of sliced Carrots 1 scoop of sliced Apples 2 scoops of Mint choc chip ice cream ( i managed to find 1 tub) Digestive biscuits Oatcakes Custard Cream biscuits ( she loved them, she wanted MORE, she full body searched me to see if i had many hidden, supermarket tomorrow i think ;) ) Her fluid intake has been 25 ltrs of Herbal Tea/water 5 bags of water She has definately taken to a bucket being hung for her herbal tea, the only time she has a drink from me holding a scoop is when she is laid down. i keep changing her water bucket water in the hope that she will drink some water but nope, i have started watering the herbal tea down quiet a bit, and i offer her scoops of water but she wont touch it. Her nose is very blocked this evening , but there is no way im going to get near it with some vaseline, i did give her some extra strong mints this evening, not sure if they will help, but she enjoyed them anyway, hopefully it will be cleared a bit in the morning. So another positive day i think, kicking butt Candy has done it again :))
