Tuesday 20 First stop of the day -Saltford Brass Mill to meet the volunteers and also look at all the work the Liberal Democrat Council has invested in this historical legacy to make it safe and useable for the volunteers and visitors. It is well worth a visit. Then met with Woodworks - a charity helping people with issues - homeless, mental etc - get re focussed through furniture restoration. They are delighted with the new shop they are operating from which is one of the Councils and wanted to brief me on their new workshop provision which will be reopening shortly. Next meeting was Quartet for an update on the Community Foundation and their work in B&NES and some if their ideas for the future. Cedar Care homes also came to see me to discuss expansion on two of their homes. Cedar Care operate 14 homes of which 7 are in B&NES. My mother spent her last year at St Theresas in Corston and had excellent care. And finally a social event with FOBRA meeting a number of resident associations and hearing of their concerns on some issues and also their praise on other issues.
