Tuesday 9/9: I woke around 7 this morning to a perfect sunny day, that soon changed and by 9:30am we were putting chains on the vans to peg into the ground as a precaution against the gale force winds. It was a little rocky for a while there, but we are all safe n sound, caravans withstood the storm well and so did we. A lot of people left the park early to avoid the storm, but I would rather not be on the road in those conditions and where would they go anyway, its the same weather all through the Eyre Peninsula. The afternoon improved enough to take Abby for a walk along the beach, but still not real pleasant. Kerry was pulling a few weeds out of the sand on the beachfront outside our van and disturbed a Stumpy Tail lizard who was not impressed. Were all taking dinner to the enclosed camp kitchen for a get together tonight and hoping for better weather tomorrow for some outside time.
