Tuesday June 3rd is LATIN FEVER, CUBAN NIGHT and MARQUEZ CELEBRATION TIME! Can it get any more summerly out there? The answer is YES: Tomorrow (Tuesday June 3rd at 19.00) we open this years LATIN AMERICAN FILM FESTIVAL with a CUBAN NIGHT with - if the co-hosts from the Cuban Embassy keep the traditions from previous festivals alive - VERY good drinks and some nice tunes at Asta Bar. All that is after the Opening Event which consists of not one film but many - a tour de force though Cuban Film History in 80 minutes! One of the key elements here is the concept of CINE IMPERFECTO - the Cuban answer to the European new waves and co-shaped by such prominent figures as Theodor Christensen (who would have turned 100 this year) and Gabriel García Márquez who passed away earlier this year. The presenter is the Danish author, director and journalist Steen Dalin who knows Cuban Cinema better than most. The presentation will be in English, and all film clips are subtitled in English too.
