Tuesday Night Talk - Tala Mai.... advice needed please. Dear NIU, I am worried about my 2 year old nephew. My sister had him at age 19, now 21 she has met a new man (the father of my nephew never stayed around), and spends all of her attention on this new guy. Ive been around to find the dishes piled up high, my nephew running out of nappies. This new guy likes his drink too and he used to smoke in the house. Because my sister is an egg, I had to mention something to him about smoking in the house. At least he doesnt smoke inside anymore. This guy has told my sister, hes not out to be a father and he wants to take things slow, which is fair, but she acts like hes so important to her survival it makes me sick. Her SON should come first. Although I dont have kids, I love my nephew with all my heart. Its all come to a big drama now because I mentioned to my sister that I could look after baby for a while and she went crazy at me. She said Im always looking down on her, accusing her of being a bad mother and that Im just jealous because I dont have a child of my own because no man would want to have one with me. This really hurt me. I just want my nephew to be treated right. I know she loves him, but her priorities are just all wrong. I love my sister and my nephew and just want to help. Any advice please?
