Tuesday night 2am flight to Nairobi. Firstl, I get to my seat to find some woman sitting there clearly pretending to be semi-comatose, as she wants to keep the window seat and doesnt want to be stuck in the middle....she refuses to wake up until the steward gives her quite a shake....oh, do you want me to move????, seems a bit silly, why dont you take my seat, then theres no need to move all my things....yes lady, I specifically booked a window seat, so I could sleep leaning against the fuselage....so yes, I do want you to move!, by which time, my 2am grumpy head starts. Then, 2.30am the stewards come round the plane at 2.30 with a continental breakfast and hot filter coffee...WHAT???? Its 2.30am, the last thing I need is coffee!!! Where are my friends Gin and her close friend tonic???? No problem madam The guy goes to the galley and gets me 2 bottles of gin and several tonics....so, I spend a happy hour drinking a few strong G&Ts and eating croissant, whilst my new friend sitting next to me scowls over her cuppa! ;-)
