Haha: National Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week The first full week of April every year (this year its April 7-11, 2014) has been set aside as a time to recognize the contributions and importance of graduate students in the US. We celebrate and honor the Teaching Assistants, Research Assistants, graduate association leaders and all students pursuing graduate and professional degrees. We appreciate your vital contribution to this university. We recognize that your sphere of influence will continue to widen as you become our nations future business, political, scientific and intellectual leaders. We want to make sure you have all the support you need to succeed. For some the pressure of academic responsibilities are too much to handle. This week please send a message to all graduate students that help is available. Post the note below to Facebook. Save a Life - Join the Facebook Campaign National Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week (April 7-11) celebrates the role of graduate students as TAs and RAs on campus today, as well as raising awareness to their future impact as leaders in academics, industry and government. However, the path to completing a graduate degree can be difficult. The National Graduate Student Crisis Line (800-GRAD-HLP) (800-472-3457) is available 24/7 to listen, connect and assist you right now. Grad Resources ( gradresources.org ) and the National Association of Graduate-Professional Students ( NAGPS.org ) are available to support you throughout the rest of the year.
