Turning Condemnation Into Compassion The target of our condemnation today becomes the recipient of our compassion. In this time of Christmas let us gift ourselves the opportunity to find peace in an area of our life that is asking to be blessed by it. Whatever or whoever we believe is robbing us of peace, today we wholeheartedly offer them the peace that we ourselves desire. What do we truly have to lose by shifting our thinking from a thought system that is based on condemnation, anger, and revenge to one that is based on compassion, forgiveness, and peace? Sure the ego may have so deeply programmed us that offering compassion and forgiveness may seem unappealing and distasteful, but ask yourself, have your thoughts of condemnation, anger, and revenge ever truly nourished you? What kind of example are we setting for our children when they see us reacting with condemnation to condemnation, with anger to anger, and with revenge to revenge? What if for just one day we had the courage to drive into the deepest parts of our souls to find those remaining pearls of mercy? Today if we can’t find these pearls ourselves we invite God/Source to find them for us, to forgive our brothers and sisters for us. We ask Him/Her to lead us, lighting the way back to the state of peace. If we are not strong enough or ready to forgive them, we say to our Creator: “Today I surrender that illusionary part of me that sees any gain in condemnation, anger, and revenge, and instead place my complete trust in Your mercy. I ask You from the deepest part of my heart and soul to forgive my sisters and brothers for me, and to filled my thoughts of them with Your peace, love, and understanding.” Peace, Health, Happiness, Love, Laughter, and Light.
